Mass Media Has Evolved Throughout The Years And Has A Significant Influence In Today's Society!

Over the last 500 years the influence of mass media has grown with the advance of technology. Mass media has and is affecting most people in the world today. In the article" The Influence and Effects of Mass Media" the use of media have changed the world since 1950. It affects peoples way of being, how they communicate with each other, and the way people live. According to the article "Media Influence on Society", NBC Universal, Sony Corporation of America, and other companies control 95% of all the traditional media we receive everyday. Everyday people are being brainwashed by mass media. Mass media has influenced many people to act like certain famous people. Like for example many teenagers sag their pants thinking it is cool just because they saw an artist or an actor doing that on television or something. People are being used as puppets and are taking everything they see on television and actually doing it in real life.According to the article "Mass media and its Influence on Society" the common person in the city will usually wake up and checks the TV or newspaper and goes to work. This shows that people depend on the media to keep them updated on recent events. Another example on how mass media and it's evolution over time has affected society is on how nowadays instead of using books to read people are getting their books and newspapers through the internet and it is replacing the use of books.





 People need to stop using technology for everything because then they become addicted to technology and miss out on life. The quote from Shakespeare "To be or not to be" relates to this topic because if you really think about it our ability to think, have feelings, and enjoy life is what really makes us human. People don't take advantage of life they just sit there and use the internet to look at what someone else wrote. So we should enjoy every minute of life and stop being so attached to our technology and the all the social medias out there.

The exclusion of woman throughout the world

           

          People need the opportunity to participate fully in the life of their community and have the same equal opportunities as others. Woman are the most affected by the issue of exclusion and they are not treated equally just because people think they are less capable of doing things for their country  According to Kelly Hallman and Eva Roca (experts on this topic) on the year of 2000 in Guatemala only 54 percent of Seven year olds had aspirations for their future. Many women throughout the world are excluded from participating in education, the political, social, and economic life. I will explain how social exclusion affects women’s education, how girls’ lives are more limited than boys, and how the exclusion of girls affects the community.

 Many woman throughout the world are not given the opportunity to be someone in their community and that is unfair. Woman are not given the same opportunities as man and woman are being excluded from participating in the social, economic, and political part of life. We need to do something about the social exclusion of woman throughout the world. The social exclusion of woman throughout the globe affects their opportunities of being educated. Education should be provided to everyone around the world so everyone can be educated and have the same opportunities to be involved in their communities but still to this day many people are not provided with education. According to Hallman and Perraca (experts on this topic) studies show that on 2000 in Guatemala about 72 percent of 8 year olds who are indigenous females were enrolled in a school. Girls’ lives are more limited than boys in many countries. Girls are not given the opportunity to be fully involved in their community and are credited less for the things they do. According to Perraca (expert on this topic) in Guatemala 78 percent of Indigenous female who are 15 years old are enrolled in school, and 88 percent of Indigenous male who are 15 years old are enrolled in school.  Many people don’t realize that the exclusion of girls affect the community in various ways. The exclusion of woman affect the community because not enough jobs are available to keep the economic part of their country up and that makes many countries become poor, and many girls get sick because they become depressed and abused. According to Erulkar (expert on this topic) adolescents in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, boys reported an average of 4.7 friends compared to girls with 2.7 friends which makes girls get depressed. The exclusion of woman throughout the globe is important because it affects many woman from being able to make a positive impact in their community.When the woman in other less fortunate countries create organizations and stand up for themselves they will be given more opportunities to be involved in their community

            Everyone deserves to be included in their community and not be excluded just because of their gender. Woman are not provided with education, are less limited in life than men, and the exclusion of woman affects the community.Many woman throughout the world are excluded from being involved in their communities and are not given the same benefits as other people. We need to help inspire woman and give them the opportunities that they never had before. Every woman in this world should be able to participate in life and also be given the same opportunities as other people.

GORDON'S LIFE!!!

Many people choose to stand up for what they believe in and many don't. In a small block in Australia there were many people who got tiered of being treated unfairly. Gordon is one of those individuals. Gordon is a painter and an educator. He first discovered his passion for art when he was in jail serving a ten year murder sentence in Long Bay prison for shooting a man in a land rights dispute over his family's land.In a video he did he said" In prison i taught many people how to paint." His experience inspired him to use his art to show how the Indigenous are mistreated by the criminal justice system. This is seen in our world today because a lot of people use their songs,art, and voice to show how some things in our world are unfair and racists towards people. Many people in our world are put in jail for nothing and they never have justice. Many police officers arrest people for the wrong reasons and turns out that it isn't even their fault.Most police offers just have a high school diploma and they are given  lot of power. Isn't that funny? Here is a video on how a man was sent to prison when it wasn't even his fault.

In this video it states that he was put in jail for nothing and they guy says " He wants to enjoy what is left of his life and get to know his kids." Many people who didn't commit a crime are put in jail for no reason at all and i think that is completely stupid and ignorant of our justice system. This injustice should stop!!
